At the Käylä Christmas Market, the Central European Christmas market atmosphere meets the snow-covered village setting of Kuusamo and a genuine sense of togetherness. The beautifully lit courtyard, delicacies from local producers, artisanal crafts, winter activities, and the warm spirit of Christmas make a visit here an experience for the whole family.
Transportation & schedules
We provide round-trip transportation to the event from Ruka twice a day, in accordance with the group visit schedules.
Group visits daily
- 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
- 2:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.
The visit is designed to be a well-paced experience where you’ll have time to enjoy the Christmas spirit, sample treats, participate in activities, and shop at your leisure.

Inside the restaurant, you can get a taste of a traditional Finnish Christmas spread in a light and casual way with a Christmas tasting plate.

Activities for kids and the whole family
There’s plenty of Christmas fun in store for the little ones, too. Inside the gym, there’s an elf school offering activities such as:

- elf exercises
You can also book a private meeting with Santa Claus for your own travel group. During the meeting, an elf will take photos, which you’ll receive free of charge as a memento of this magical moment.
